Montréal celebrated its 350th anniversary in 1992. Starting as a small mission colony of merely 50 settlers, Montréal has since become a prominent North American city, a metropolis of three million inhabitants.
The city’s defining traits stem from its French roots, but it has also assimilated British influences, and, more recently, the contribution of many diverse cultures, all the while living in symbiosis with the North American continent, in tune with its rhythm. |
