Maison Grou-Meilleur. Located at 825 Côte-Vertu boulevard, this is the oldest building in the city. Dating back to 1789 and named after its first owner, for a long time it belonged to the Grou family. Jean-Baptiste Meilleur, the father of public instruction, also lived in this house. It has been home to the Le Chandelier restaurant for some years. Photo taken on June 7, 1956, Ville de Saint-Laurent Archives, P160 |
