The Petit Lac d'Argent Park was located between Décarie boulevard and Dion street. This project, conducted jointly by the Oeuvre des terrains de jeux de Saint-Laurent inc. and the government, was launched in 1938 to alleviate unemployment in the region. The park was also to offer citizens a recreation area that was clean and easy to access. A cottage is then built and converted into a restaurant in 1944. In 1951, the park was acquired by the Hobbs Glass Limited corporation before its closing some time later. Photos taken around [1945?] (top), in 1944 (middle) and around [1935?] (bottom), Ville de Saint-Laurent Archives, P650 and P651. The first picture comes the 1987 calendar of Ville Saint-Laurent.
