Species collected in Cuba by Brother Marie-Victorin. Arrived at the Montr?al Botanical Garden on February 18, 1939, as a plant.


In San Miguel de los Ba?os, a seaside resort, Marie-Victorin photographed this young girl holding an Aechmea nudicaulis plant,

one of Cuba's most
remarkable terrestrial bromeliads,

he wrote.
