The Montréal Botanical Garden offers a wide range of educational activities related to botany,
horticulture and the natural sciences for school groups and the general public.
In different seasons and in the various parts of the Garden, there are also
thematic exhibitions and special events, some of them spotlighting Asian cultures in the Chinese
and Japanese gardens, introducing visitors to trees and forests at the Tree House
knowing the Amerindian and Inuit culture in the First Nations Garden.
School groups can enjoy a broad-ranging educational program, including the thematic
visits to the greenhouses described in the Botanophile teacher's guide and specially
designed educational activities for every grade.
There are special activities for young people during summer, as well,
with the Youth Gardens and Day Camp.
The Natural Science Activities and Programs Division, which is responsible
for educational activities, also offers a horticultural information service and
organizes horticultural workshops at the Botanical Garden.
In cooperation with the Friends of the Garden, it also
arranges guided tours for groups.
