The Courtyard of the Senses

Prickly

Borage

Borago officinalis
Family : Boraginaceae

The texture of borage leaves is slightly prickly to the touch. The small clumps of bristly hairs on their surface makes them somewhat prickly. Even if it weren't for its leaves, this plant would be placed in the prickly section because it attracts plenty of pollinating insects: watch out that you don't get stung!
