Towards the Arid Regions Conservatory Towards the Garden of Weedlessness

   Hacienda

Hacienda Greenhouse

The Hacienda, nicknamed the "Sunlight Conservatory", has an unusual decor.

Walls and low walls, pierced by windows, define indoor courtyards.

A small pool and terraces help evoke the atmosphere of Hispanic gardens.

This setting is the backdrop for a remarkable collection of perennial plants from arid regions.

Cacti and succulents grow side by side.

A display case shows off tiny specimens, among which are the lithops, also known as "living stones" because of their ingenious camouflage that protects them from herbivores.
