Tropical Rainforests Conservatory

The giant trees in the authentic tropical forest were too tall to be contained in this conservatory, so you will see only the forest's upper stratum. It includes, among others, the remarkable epiphytic bromeliads.

Epiphytes such as bromeliads, ferns and orchids, cling to tree branches in order to get the most possible sunlight. They feed on the nutrients in rainwater or in the moisture-saturated air.
