Henry F. Hall Building
Ribbon-cutting ceremony at the official opening of the Henry F. Hall Building.
This building (de Maisonneuve between Bishop and MacKay) with 18 acres of internal space was an important step forward for the rapidly growing Sir George Williams University (SGWU), and it quickly became a focal point in the downtown landscape. SGW merged with Loyola in 1974 to create Concordia University. Other Concordia buildings have been built nearby in recent years and that part of downtown will soon be known as Quartier Concordia. Left to right Principal Emeritus Henry F. Hall, Minister of Education Jean-Jacques Bertrand, Chancellor Fraser F. Fulton, and a member of the Garnet Key Honor Society.
