This area was known until the 18th century as Les Tanneries, Les Tanneries du Côteau-Saint-Pierre or Les Tanneries des Rolland. With the inauguration of the Lachine Canal, the tanneries in the village of Saint-Henri began to close. This poster was made for an exhibit presented in 1981 by the Musée des arts décoratifs de Montréal.
