Coat of arms of the Art Association of Montréal / John Henry Walker (1831-1899).
Incorporation of the Art Association of Montréal on April 23, 1860. The mission of this organization was to encourage the fine arts in Montréal by founding an art gallery, school and library. A first version of this coat of arms appeared on the cover of the annual report of 1883. The Art Association used this coat of arms from 1884 onwards.
