The breeding program of the Ottawa Research Station led by Felicitas Svejda and covering the Rosa, Philadelphus , Forsythia , Weigela and Diervilla genera resulted in the horticultural introduction of shrubs with improved hardiness and disease resistance while providing attractive flowering shrubs with interesting ornamental features.
The pictures below all come from the Montréal Botanical Garden Library and were taken at the Garden's Rose and Shrub Gardens.
