"Each plant has to be part of its environment. Different environments produce different effects. It cannot be over-emphasized how important it is to evaluate plant in different climatic conditions", wrote Felicitas Svejda.
Therefore, prior to approval as a potential hybrid for any marketing with its own name, each plant selected had to be tested in different locations and under different climatic conditions. Several gardens and nurseries in Canada and the United States have contributed to these evaluation tests.
