Plant fibres for a host of uses



In the streets of the village, the chicken vendor keeps them in a "yagua". At Christmas, the turkey arrives still alive and neatly wrapped up like a letter in a "yagua" with just its head poking out.

A "yagua" has a multitude of uses: wrapping for tobacco, in fact packaging of all kinds; also cables, baskets and shoes (photo).
