Frank Cyril James, Principal of McGill University from 1939 to 1962, J.W. McConnell (1877-1963), a businessman and philanthropist and the owner of the Montréal Star newspaper, and Maurice Duplessis (1890-1959), Prime Minister of Québec from 1936 to 1939 and 1944 to 1959, visiting the new McConnell Wing of the Montréal Neurological Institute.
The Montréal Neurological Institute opened in 1934 and was founded by Wilder Penfield (1891 1976), a professor of neurology and neurosurgery at McGill, who transformed our understanding of the human brain.
