Dedication Book for the New Association Building of the YMCA.
This richly ornamented illuminated manuscript including text and photographs (4 pages of which appear here) was prepared as a commemorative document for the opening of the Montréal YMCA Building on Victoria Square. This was the first purpose-built building for the Montréal YMCA. The Montréal Y was the first in North America. The building was officially dedicated on October 14, 1873.
