In keeping with its research, conservation and education missions, the Botanical Garden is committed to sustainable development.
In fact, its awareness-building efforts since 2004 have made it an essential partner in promoting the municipal by-law prohibiting the use of pesticides in the city
of Montréal.

Thanks to the Botanical Garden's horticultural information counter and leaflets, its Library, its Website, and workshops held by Friends of the Garden, Montrealers have access to information of all kinds on organic gardening.
