Alpine Garden

All the mountains of the world

This garden boasts one of the world's largest collections of alpine plants. These are truly hardy species, able to withstand the harsh conditions of their native mountainous regions. Yet at the same time they are quite vulnerable to the heat waves and heavy rains in the Montr?al region, which can cause root rot. Fortunately, the poor, rocky soil of the Alpine Garden ensures good drainage.
