The Explorer roses created by Felicitas Svejda

The Explorer series is a set of 25 rose varieties specially developed to survive the Canadian winters by Felicitas Svejda.

All Explorer roses were selected for fragrant and appealing flowers and well-balanced and attractive shrubs.

They are exceptional for their hardiness in Canada because they can generally survive winter temperatures down to -35 °C with only snow as protection. They are also disease resistant, flower repeatedly throughout the summer, require only minimal pruning and come in a variety of colours.

The pictures below all come from the Montréal Botanical Garden Library and were taken at the Garden's Rose Garden.
