The Transit of Venus contest is organized by the Montréal Planétarium and is open from June 5 until June 11, 2012;

1. The contest is open to all Quebec residents ages 18 and over.
To enter the contest, complete the entry form on the transitofvenus.ca web site before 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 11.

2. Description of how the prize will be awarded:
The winners’ named will be drawn from all eligible contest entry forms from the internet entries.

3. Detailed description of prizes*:

1. One (1) main prize for a family (4 pers.):

VIP visit which comprises:

• One night at the l’Hôtel Universel
• Private visit of the new Montréal Planétarium construction site
• Meeting with one of the Planétarium’s astronomer
• Visit of the Biodôme, Insectarium and Botanical Garden

2. One (1) prize per participating club:

• One night at the l’Hôtel Universel
• Visit of the Biodôme, Insectarium and Botanical Garden

*Prizes must be accepted as is and cannot be substituted for cash. Transportation and all other fees are under ther winner's responsibility.

4. Location, date and time of the draw for the winning entries:
The winners will be drawn on June 12, 2012, at the Montréal Botanical Garden, 4101, Sherbrooke Est, Montréal, Quebec, H1X 2B2

5. Notification of winner:
The Montréal Botanical Garden will notify the winner by telephone and email. The winner’s name will be posted on the Montréal Planétarium Website.

6. The following individuals are not eligible to enter the contest:
All salaried or contract employees of Montréal’s Space for Life and all persons living at the same address as these individuals.

7. A dispute as to the organization or conduct of a promotional contest may be submitted to the la Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux so that it may be resolved. A dispute as to the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purposes of intervention in an attempt to settle the matter.
The contest organizers (Montréal Planétarium) are not responsible for unreceived, illegible or incomplete entry forms. The winners release the Montréal Botanical Garden from all liability for any damage or prejudice caused by the awarding or use of their prize.

8. By entering the contest, the winners authorize, where necessary, the organizers to use their names, voices, addresses, statements regarding the prize and/or photographs, without any compensation, for advertising relating to the contest. Entrants are those individuals whose names and identifying information appear on an entry form.

9. This contest is subject to all applicable federal and provincial legislation and municipal by-laws.

10. By entering this contest, entrants accept these rules and agree to respect them.
