Conference Registration

Registration for the IPS 2000 Conference is managed by the Planétarium de Montréal. All correspondence regarding registration should be directed to:

Certified cheques, bank drafts and money orders should be made payable to "IPS 2000". Personal cheques will not be accepted. All payments must be made in Canadian funds.

How to Register

There are two ways to register for the IPS 2000 Conference: either by mail or by fax. Please do not submit more than one registration form. Submission of more than one registration form may result in redundant charges to your account. Note that you MUST be a current IPS member to attend the Conference as a delegate: if you plan to attend but are not a current member, please read the IPS Membership information.

Conference Registration Form (Mail or Fax)

The Conference Registration Form may be submitted either by mail or by fax. PostScript and Acrobat (version 4) (.pdf) versions of the registration form can be downloaded from the official IPS 2000 website.

You may mail the completed form and accompanying payments to the Secretariat at the address provided above. You may fax the registration form and credit card payment information to: +1 514 872-8102. When registering by mail, you may pay using Visa, MasterCard, International money order, certified cheque or bank draft.

A credit card is the only acceptable payment when registering by fax. Credit card payment will be debited in Canadian funds. Payment is due when the registration form is submitted. Certified cheques, bank drafts and money orders should be made payable to "IPS 2000". A combination of payment methods may be used for different functions provided there are clear instructions in writing for applying the various payments at the time of registration.

You will receive an acknowledgement of your payment(s) within two weeks of receipt by the Secretariat. If you do not receive such an acknowledgement, please contact Nicole Patenaude at the Planétarium de Montréal, npatenaude@ville.montreal.qc.ca. We recommend bringing in a copy of your acknowledgement to the Conference in the event there has been an error in processing your registration.

Corrections / Additions

If there are additions or corrections, DO NOT submit another registration form. Please contact Nicole Patenaude at the Planétarium de Montréal, npatenaude@ville.montreal.qc.ca or fax details to +1 514 872-8102. Requests by phone will not be accepted.

One Day Registration

A one day registration is available and may be upgraded to full registration at any time. The prevailing rate will be used and a processing fee will not be charged. To upgrade prior to June 5, 2000, send a message along with payment method to npatenaude@ville.montreal.qc.ca, fax: +1 514 872-8102. A full registration may NOT be changed to a one day registration.

Deadlines

Registrations received on or prior to April 1, 2000 are eligible for discounted registration fees. Regular registration must be received by June 16, 2000. If you cannot register prior to June 16, you must register on-site. There will be an extra charge of $25 CDN for on-site registration.

Registration Fees

Registrations received on or prior to April 1, 2000 are eligible for early registration fees as listed below:

Regular registration fees will be charged after April 1, 2000 and will apply through the end of the Conference:

On-site Registration Surcharge $25 CDN

These registration fees include free admission to all the Conference sessions, seven meals (1 breakfast, 4 lunches and 2 dinners, excluding the Banquet), 8 refreshment breaks and the Conference materials.

The Spouse / Guest fee is intended for those who will not attend the formal sessions but would like a nametag to attend the cocktail functions and the guided tours of Montréal. The scheduled tours are: Old Montréal; Visit of the Underground City; the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts; and the McCord Museum (specialized in the history of Canada, Québec, and Montréal).

Cancellations / Refunds

Requests for cancellation must be received in writing via email (npatenaude@ville.montreal.qc.ca) or by fax (+1 514 872-8102) prior to June 16, 2000 for a full refund less a $50 CDN processing charge. Cancellations will not be accepted after June 16, 2000.

Special Events

Banquet tickets will be available on-site until 11:00 am on Tuesday July 11, 2000. Banquet tickets will not be refunded after July 10, 2000.

Group Photograph

A group photograph will be taken during the Conference. If you wish to reserve your 8X10 print ($12CDN), please fill the appropriate section on the Conference Registration Form.

Payment Methods

There are two payment methods available to cover the registration / special event fees:

International money order / Certified cheque / Bank draft in Canadian funds should be made out to "IPS 2000".

Visa and MasterCard are the only credit cards accepted. A valid card number, expiration date, name matching exactly the spelling on the card and an authorizing signature must be submitted for processing. The card will be debited in Canadian funds. For your own safety, do not submit credit card information by e-mail.
