The Art of Camouflage

The lunar meteorites were all discovered recently. The first find dates from 1979! Since the beginning of time, there have been meteorite falls from our satellite. However, they are very difficult to tell apart from terrestrial rocks. Their mineral aspect and their density are very similar. Once its fusion crust breaks down, a lunar meteorite goes totally unnoticed in the Earth's landscape. Also, unlike other meteorites, they have few magnetic properties. The hot and cold deserts, where there are fewer terrestrial rocks, are the only places where these meteorites have been recovered so far.
