Aubin Callière aka Jasmin came to the Parish of Saint-Laurent as a colonist at the beginning of the 18th Century and settled on the piece of land that today constitutes the Bois-Franc District. In 1716, he married Louise Couvret and the couple had three sons: Jacques, Jean-Baptiste and Pierre, who all lived in Saint-Laurent.
Jasmin street in Saint-Laurent passes through the old farm of the same name, which belonged to one of the oldest families in Ville de Saint-Laurent.
