CAE Électronique inc.

CAE Électronique, a renowned flight simulator manufacturer, launched operations in Saint-Laurent in 19471. Initially, the company's main operations included the repair and servicing of electronic and electromechanical equipment. Toward the early 1950's, CAE began production of flight simulators, radars and weapons for the Department of National Defense.

Recognized today as one of the biggest suppliers of flight simulators in the world with 80% of the global market, it also manufactures data entry and control systems for nuclear and electrical plants, and magnetic detectors. CAE Électronics Inc. employs more than 6,000 people in Canada, in United States and around the world. It is the second leading employer in Saint-Laurent with a workforce of 4,000 employees.
